Family Food Forest Class

Mentored by Rachel Von Neiderhausern

Not offered 2025-26

During this class families will learn earth science, permaculture, and georgic principles of growing, tending, and harvesting as they apply to the earth and themselves. Through hands-on work, sit spots, nature journaling, Harvest & May Day Celebrations, and special workshops each semester, we will discover and explore the layers of a food forest. Each student/family will complete a garden or husbandry project during the semester to apply the learning at home. We truly want this to be a family experience where the adults learn right along with the children and youth! So as you think about this class, please consider which parent/guardian or sibling 18+ can commit to coming with the student(s) each week.
